Inspired by the romance of 1930s rail travel, Notch8, the lobby restaurant and bar, is named after a train's top speed. It pays homage to the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver's history as one of the grand Canadian Pacific Railway hotels built after the completion of Canada's nationwide rail system. The dark atmosphere, popular among locals, features West Coast cuisine. Notch8 serves breakfast, lunch, happy hour, dinner, lounge, weekend brunch, and afternoon tea.
