The zen-like Shangri-La Hotel Toronto features modern luxury with traditional Asian elegance. The brand's signature scent fills the lobby from the moment you walk in. The contemporary Lobby Lounge is airy and bright, offering natural light through the high-ceiling two-story windows, large-scale Chinese calligraphy paintings, sculptures, and an Italian handcrafted Fazioli piano. The lounge offers an all-day menu, or you can treat yourself to the must-do Afternoon Tea, which features an extensive selection of teas, savory and sweet items from a modern Canadian menu, and a selection of wines, cocktails, and spirits. Just outside the hotel is a 40-ton metal tree statue that came directly from China, symbolizing the integration of nature and city life. Welded to the tree are numerous metal birds, symbolizing the earth and city life coming together.
